Some guy printed up a whole bunch of very real-looking outlet stickers and then pasted them all over the airport. Air rage ensued.

If you fall for a sticker on a garbage can, you shouldn’t be allowed to fly.

At least airports are starting to realize that people want to be able to charge their devices, and that one kiosk with like 4 ports doesn’t cut it. We’ve come a long way from the days when they had one outlet in each waiting area for vacuuming, which was often wired to a switch and turned off because the airport didn’t want people “ stealing” those 5W to charge their phone.
On the other hand, some of the new waiting areas I’ve seen have like 20 seats for loading up a 160 seat 737,
replacing them with counters (for your food), tablets to order said food, and other such money making endeavors
that have nothing to do with general passenger comfort (after all, if you were anyone worth caring about, you’d be in the airline lounge anyway).

Oh I just thought of something, if you have the money to blow, bu y a case worth of these stickers and find an outlet on a large wall and go to town. There’d be a real outlet in there that someone would find eventually, then everyone else would be carefully scanning the wall to see if there are more.

He may deserve that, but I think that’s below our dignity as a people. One shot to the knee would be more in keeping with the best values as a society.

I had something like a 16 hour layover in the Moscow airport. Well during this time the guy I was traveling with needed to charge our phones. Outlets were a lot more scarce than they are in American airports. We finally found one; however, only one of the outlets worked. So in order to charge our phones, he plugged his computer into this massive adapter he had and we both plugged our phones into that. Must have looked pretty comical or something because this Russian guy stops, pulls out his blackberry, and the takes a picture of me sitting there. I look at my buddy and go what the fuck. My only regret was not taking a picture of him while he took a picture of me.

Other comments aside, I do hope that this violates some regulation severe enough to but this guy on the no fly list.

We recently went through the new terminal at CLT. Every seat in the waiting area had an outlet with two plugs and two USB charging ports. It was brilliant.

I’ve often thought about traveling with a small power strip. Find one outlet, then invite others to join you. It would be a great way to make friends.

Can you take pictures with a Blackberry? Or just stand there and text your friends a description of what you’re seeing?

I like the one on the garbage can. Like... if you try to plug into a trash can, you probably are not swift.

Lol this is actually quite funny. If I fell for this I’d probably just have a laugh. That said if I was going around plastering these all over I’d stick unrealistic places like high up on a wall where nobody can reach without help or that trash bin.

Yeah, about 7 feet off the floor would be perfect. Then sit and videotape people trying to reach it.

I just thought about this (but with double sided tape). It would be fun to watch as inevitably someone would accidentally rip the whole thing out and be terrified for a second before realizing.

Are they longer than the standard iPhone cables? The included ones are just barely long enough and I need some that are slightly longer to reach my desk from the outlet .

Those look like those evil stickers that don’t come off in one pull, but rather in 5 million pieces, and then you have to scrape the glue.
I guess I feel bad for the janitor :(
